Position Overview:
The Technical Business Analyst plays a crucial role in collaborating with business stakeholders, development teams, and IT departments to analyze, document, and translate business needs into technical requirements. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of software development methodologies, and the ability to deliver clear and concise documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather, document, and analyze business requirements to ensure solutions align with organizational goals
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business, development, QA, and vendors) to translate business needs into technical specifications and user stories
- Organize, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, ensuring alignment with project timelines and sprint goals
- Facilitate workshops and discussions with stakeholders to validate requirements, use cases, and wireframes
- Assist in the creation of wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to illustrate user interface concepts
- Define acceptance criteria and work closely with QA teams to validate solutions for accuracy and quality
- Conduct root cause analysis and support troubleshooting efforts to resolve technical issues
- Ensure alignment of technical deliverables with non-functional requirements like usability, performance, security, and scalability
- Act as a liaison between IT teams and business units to ensure a shared understanding of goals and deliverables
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst
- Strong experience in gathering, analyzing, and documenting functional and technical requirements
- Ability to translate complex business processes into detailed technical specifications
- Expertise in creating user stories, use cases, process flows, and wireframes
- Experience working within various software development methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall
- Proficiency in using tools like JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or similar platforms for requirement tracking and documentation
- SQL query writing skills preferred
