Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain production schedules to satisfy customer needs and optimize production efficiency
Track production progress, detect bottlenecks, and make necessary adjustments to schedules to meet deadlines
Collaborate with various departments, including purchasing, engineering, and quality control, to guarantee the prompt delivery of materials and resources
Provide technical guidance in response to questions concerning quality and manufacturability
Manage material handling procedures, ensuring the proper transportation and handling of heavy items within the facility
Supervise and lead a team, offering support, guidance, and performance evaluations
Identify and execute process enhancements to increase productivity and reduce lead times
Adhere to safety standards, fostering a clean and organized work environment
Communicate effectively with team members, management, and customers regarding production status, potential issues, and solutions
Analyze production data to identify trends, anticipate problems, and pinpoint areas for improvement
Participate in cross-functional meetings to address production challenges and devise effective solutions
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus
3+ years of experience in production scheduling, preferably within the aerospace and/or defense manufacturing industry
Solid technical knowledge and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to excel under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
Exceptional time management, organizational, and multitasking skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on team management and leadership
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement processes
