Manufacturing Engineer II
Our client is seeking a positive, detail-oriented team player for their Manufacturing Engineer II opportunity. You’ll help drive improvements in the medical device manufacturing process at the company’s Laconia, NH facility. Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer II
- Apply engineering principles to drive process improvements while positively affecting quality, delivery, cost, safety, and morale
- Develop and execute process and test method validations (IQ, OQ, PQ, PPQ)
- Prepare and/or review documentation
- Create and implement lean processes in a cellular environment utilizing appropriate methods such as machining, welding, finishing, cleaning, assembly, and inspection
- Effectively own and manage CAPAs for assigned areas
- Develop tooling, fixtures, and equipment
- Create, schedule, and coordinate project plans; plan and execute project activities within a cross-functional team
- Ensure internal and external customer expectations are met or exceeded
- Perform additional tasks and projects as required
Qualifications of the Manufacturing Engineer II
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other technical field with applicable experience
- 3-5 years of experience in a regulated industry, preferably medical devices
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, SolidWorks, and Minitab
- Knowledge of PLC programming
- Lean manufacturing and new product development/launch support experience is highly desirable
- Statistical knowledge and understanding of metals machining and polishing is preferred
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
