Job Summary
The Associate Analytics & Insights Analyst role collaborates with our sales team and clients to organize and analyze data secured from industry platforms. This individual can utilize data to create compelling stories or narratives. Such professionals are often skilled in data analysis, visualization, and storytelling techniques. They can translate complex data sets into meaningful insights that can be easily understood and communicated. This data is used to build fact-based presentations that increase our client’s brand share through category reviews, new item presentations, scorecards, dashboards, and ad-hoc analytics. This is an entry level position.
Responsibilities
· Utilize data and reporting tools: You will be responsible for using various data sources and reporting tools to gather and analyze data. This involves extracting relevant information, manipulating, and organizing the data, and generating reports or visualizations.
· Deliver insightful analysis: using the collected data, your role is to conduct a thorough analysis and provide meaningful insights. This may involve identifying data trends, patterns, and correlations to uncover opportunities or address challenges.
· Prepare category reviews and create selling stories: you will be expected to create comprehensive category reviews that highlight the performance, opportunities, and challenges within specific product categories. Additionally, you will develop selling stories that leverage data insights to provide actionable recommendations for improving sales or market strategies.
· Build and maintain monthly reports: You will oversee creating and updating monthly reports that track key performance indicators (KPIs), sales metrics, and other relevant data. These reports will provide stakeholders with an overview of the business’s performance and inform decision-making processes.
· Manage special projects: The Director of Analytics & Insights may assign you special projects. These projects could involve conducting in-depth research, developing new analytical models or methodologies, or providing strategic recommendations to address specific business challenges.
Requirements
· A Bachelor’s Degree: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, or a related field is required. This provides the foundational knowledge and skills necessary of data analysis and understanding market dynamics.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products; You should be proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Access, PowerPivot, Power Query, and Outlook. Knowledge of Power BI would be a strong asset.
· Effective Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication skills are essential for this role. You should be able to effectively communicate and interact with others verbally and in writing. Collaboration within the team is also important, as you will be working with different stakeholders to gather information, present findings, and provide insights.
· Self-Motivated and Willingness to Learn: As an analyst, you should be self-motivated and demonstrate a willingness to continue learning. The field of analytics is constantly evolving, and staying updated with new tools, techniques, and trends is crucial for delivering high-quality analysis and insights.
· Office Environment and Full-Time Commitment: This role typically requires working in an office environment for at least 40 hours per week, you should be able to commit to these working hours and be comfortable working in an office setting.
· Ability to Prioritize and Manage Multiple Assignments: The role may involve working on multiple assignments simultaneously. You should possess strong organizational skills and be able to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
