Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Subcontracts Lead to join our team. The Subcontracts Lead will be responsible for managing and overseeing the subcontracting process, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and fostering strong relationships with subcontractors. This role involves coordinating with various departments to facilitate effective subcontract negotiations, managing subcontractor performance, and ensuring timely delivery of contracted services or products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, contract management, and vendor relations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement subcontracting strategies to support project goals and objectives.
- Identify and qualify potential subcontractors based on project requirements and company standards.
- Lead the subcontracting process from solicitation to contract award, including negotiation of terms and conditions.
- Manage subcontractor relationships and monitor performance against contract requirements.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company policies throughout the subcontract lifecycle.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Project Managers, Legal, and Finance teams, to resolve subcontract-related issues.
- Conduct periodic reviews and assessments of subcontractor capabilities and performance.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to subcontracting activities.
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff members involved in subcontract administration.
- Participate in procurement planning and budgeting processes as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPCM) is preferred.
- Proven experience in subcontract management, procurement, or contract administration.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, subcontracting regulations, and industry best practices.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Attention to detail and analytical mindset.
