We are working with a top multi-state law firm on its search for a litigation attorney with at least two years of experience. The hired attorney will work in the firm’s Cleveland office and collaborate with its litigation team throughout the firm.
This firm is a destination for lateral talent and it is providing a fantastic opportunity for a litigation associate who is seeking a reasonable billable hour requirement that is combined with an excellent compensation structure.
Additionally, as an attorney in this group, you will litigate a range of sophisticated issues, which includes construction, business disputes, complex commercial litigation, issues related to the aviation industry, insurance coverage/recovery, financial services, energy, utilities, healthcare, and real estate.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting legal research and analysis to develop case strategies and identify potential legal issues.
- Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents for filing in state and federal courts.
- Collaborating with partners, associates, and support staff to effectively manage caseloads and meet deadlines.
- Participating in client meetings, depositions, and settlement negotiations.
- Providing high-quality legal advice and advocacy to clients, with a focus on achieving favorable outcomes and protecting their interests.
- Trials and alternative dispute resolution.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD)
- Admission to the Ohio Bar (or eligible for admission upon hiring).
- Minimum of two years of experience practicing commercial litigation in a law firm setting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to advocate persuasively on behalf of clients.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
