OPTICAL ENGINEER
Location: Moorpark, CA
Salary: $120,000/yr
Our client is a world leader in the design and manufacture of customized photonics components and modules for industrial, avionic, and medical OEMs. This role is crucial in advancing our production capabilities and ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency in manufacturing optical components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and enhance optics production processes.
- Provide technical support to resolve manufacturing issues.
- Lead projects to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and review production documentation.
- Implement Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor production staff on process improvements.
- Collaborate with R&D and supply chain teams on technical challenges.
- Ensure compliance with Quality Management System and export regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in optical component manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of optical manufacturing techniques and Lean practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or have protected status due to export control regulations (ITAR compliant)
