Summary: We are seeking an experienced Process Improvement Engineer with a robust background in LEAN, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies, specifically within an assembly environment. The ideal candidate will possess 5-10 years of experience and preferably have a background in the automotive industry. This role is crucial in driving our commitment to operational excellence, efficiency, and quality in our production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage continuous improvement strategies using LEAN, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
- Identify and analyze process inefficiencies and quality issues within the assembly environment, proposing effective solutions.
- Lead and facilitate continuous improvement projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Conduct value stream mapping and process flow analysis to identify waste and optimize workflows.
- Train and mentor staff on continuous improvement tools and techniques, fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, engineering, and supply chain, to ensure alignment and support for improvement initiatives.
- Collect and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of improvement efforts and report findings to senior management.
- Support the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering.
- 5-10 years of experience in a continuous improvement role within an assembly environment.
- Strong expertise in LEAN, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies. Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification is preferred.
- Proven track record of successful continuous improvement project implementation and management.
- Automotive industry experience is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and influence others.
- Proficient in data analysis and statistical tools.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
