Salary:
- $63K–$95K per year

Primary Function:
- Under the direction of the Customs Manager and Supervisor, the FTZ Customs Specialist will:
- Ensure compliance with FTZ requirements
- Work cross-functionally with supply chain, customs, and logistics teams
- Assist with import-related documentation and investigations
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit required documentation and forms to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and FTZ Board
- Manage daily FTZ admissions (e214), follow up, and resolve 214 posting messages
- Retrieve and review shipping documentation related to foreign receipts
- Research and validate foreign vs. domestic receipts into the FTZ
- Analyze and prepare weekly estimated entries (CF3461) and Customs entries (CF7501)
- Manage FTZ recordkeeping retention program and ensure records are available for CBP review
- Investigate inventory inaccuracies through Warehouse Management System/FTZ Software
- Reconcile daily stock balances between Warehouse Management System/FTZ System
- Manage in-bond transactions from the FTZ (CF7512)
- Support supply chain, customs, and logistics teams with data analysis
- Research shortages and file discrepancy reports
- Ensure FTZ procedures are current and accurate
- Evaluate processes and recommend improvements
- Perform routine audits of FTZ operations
- Work with Customs during compliance reviews
- Serve as an internal resource for import/export compliance information
- Perform other assigned duties depending on project status and support needs
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in FTZ administration
- Relevant experience in Customs compliance, international transportation, or logistics is a plus
- Working knowledge of U.S. Foreign Trade Zones program and compliance
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge of the Chinese language is advantageous but not mandatory
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers for operating a computer and telephone
- Light to moderate lifting may be required
- Regular, predictable attendance is required
