Saras Micro Devices is seeking an EHS and Facilities Specialist. Join our team and take on support for our site safety and facility needs.
The successful candidates will design and implement systems and equipment procedures in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. They will be responsible for facility and equipment safety, updating current system processes and conducting risk assessments in collaboration with other team members.

Essential Duties
- Owner of KPA EHS software for Atlanta site.
- Lead site safety.
- implementation and supervisor of ergonomic assessments, incident reports, near misses, SDS, and overall site safety.
- Report out to Plant Operations Manager incidents, near misses, and assessment completion rates.
- Follow up for corrective actions concerning safety items. Ensure items are completed within due dates.
- Perform monthly site and laboratory audits for hazards (slips, trips, falls, pinches, etc)
- Owner of LOTO (lock out tag out program) when equipment/ facility maintenance is performed.
- Perform monthly fire extinguishers and weekly eye wash station inspections.
- Support facility needs through installation of short run water lines, CDA, drains, etc.
- Support equipment expansion through leading facility upgrade projects.
- Support troubleshooting of facility equipment during equipment failures or downtime.
- Support process team through assisting tool troubleshooting when needed.
- Lead contractors and vendors when Plant Manager not available.
- POC for landlord during required site inspections.
Required & Preferred Key Competencies
- CAD (AutoCAD) experience. Able to open, view, and decipher drawings.
- 3+ years of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) experience.
- 3+ years Environmental Health and Safety experience.
- 2+ year EHS software experience.
- 1+ years experience performing near miss reports, root causes, preventive measures, and safety audits.
- Associate's degree in industrial maintenance or related field, 5 years of laboratory/ industrial maintenance and safety experience in lieu of degree.
- Certification for Occupational health and safety preferred
- Preferred equipment PM, PdM, and parts inventory background.
- Equipment project management experience preferred.
- Experience in site safety, including standard EHS policies.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Physical Requirement
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- This position may require standing for extended periods of time.
