LHH is looking for Benefits/Open Enrollment Specialist in Ventura county. You will be responsible for administering employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, retirement plans, and more. This role will ensure a smooth and efficient open enrollment process, providing employees with the information and support they need to make informed decisions about their benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Benefits Administration:
- Manage day-to-day operations of employee benefits programs.
- Maintain accurate benefits records and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits inquiries and issues.
- Open Enrollment:
- Coordinate and oversee the annual open enrollment process.
- Develop and distribute open enrollment materials, including guides, FAQs, and communication plans.
- Conduct benefits presentations and webinars to educate employees on available options.
- Assist employees with enrollment in benefits plans and provide support throughout the process.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to benefits administration.
- Prepare and submit required reports, such as 1095-C forms and other regulatory filings.
- Stay updated on changes in benefits legislation and recommend policy adjustments as needed.
- Employee Engagement and Communication:
- Develop and implement strategies to increase employee engagement with benefits programs.
- Create clear and concise communication materials to explain benefits offerings.
- Provide one-on-one support to employees during open enrollment and throughout the year.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field helpful
- 3+ years of experience in benefits administration, with a focus on open enrollment.
- Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs and related regulations (e.g., ACA, ERISA, COBRA).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
