Job Title: Voice Architect
Location: Remote (Candidates must be local to SE Michigan)
Hours Per Week: 40
Days Per Week: 5 (Monday - Friday)
Job Description:
The Voice Architect is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the HFHS voice network.
Key duties include:
Supervision and Support of department personnel.
Coordination with other IT departments
Development of staff in areas such as support, process (ITIL, Change Control), and software tools.
The voice network includes:
Data center-hosted applications.
Multiple advanced contact centers.
30,000 voice terminals across 70 networked locations in SE Michigan.
Daily responsibilities focus on:
Systems awareness, including current and future projects and how they interface with the HFHS network.
Skills and Experience:
5+ years of experience in the following:
Voice teams and solutions.
Complex multi-site VoIP networks.
Multi-vendor voice and data environments (Siemens/Unify, Cisco, Avaya).
Supporting complex environments using tools such as Orion Solar Winds, Oasis, Comview, and Impact Technologies.
Wireless communications (Spectralink, ASCOM) in healthcare settings.
10+ years of experience with voice mail and unified messaging systems (preferably Unify Xpressions).
Strong interpersonal, conflict management, and collaboration skills.
Problem-solving and analytical skills.
Experience managing the design, implementation, and support of advanced voice-related systems.
Ability to handle multiple projects and work quickly under deadlines.
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management, or related field (or equivalent experience in Healthcare IT Voice Network Management).
Certifications:
Required: ITIL certification.
Preferred: Certifications in various voice-related technologies (Unify/Siemens).
Schedule Notes:
Remote work but candidates must be local to SE Michigan.
Must be experienced in task prioritization, systems merging, and system migration.
Will be responsible for setting up and executing the road map for voice infrastructure migration for the joint venture.
