Essential Duties:
Administer anesthesia and monitor patients before, during, and after surgical or medical procedures.
Perform thorough pre-anesthetic assessments, including reviewing patient history and current medical conditions.
Develop and implement anesthesia care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Operate and maintain anesthesia equipment, ensuring all safety standards are met.
Provide postoperative care and manage any anesthesia-related complications.
Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and anesthesia reports.
Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine the most appropriate anesthesia techniques and care plans.
Anesthesia Administration: Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia and manage the airway as necessary.
Patient Monitoring: Continuously monitor patient vitals and adjust anesthesia levels to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Emergency Response: Respond promptly to any anesthesia-related emergencies or complications.
Collaboration: Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
Education and Training: Stay updated on the latest practices in anesthesia care and participate in training and educational programs.
Requirements:
Certification: Must hold current certification as a CRNA by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
Licensure: Active RN license and CRNA certification in the state of practice
Education: Master's or Doctoral degree in Nurse Anesthesia from an accredited program.
Experience: Prior clinical experience in anesthesia care is preferred.
Skills: Proficiency in anesthesia techniques, patient assessment, and emergency response.
