Join Our Innovative Team as a Sr. Controls Engineer!
Our Westchester County manufacturing client is seeking a skilled Sr. Controls Engineer to be a driving force in our dynamic Research & Development (R&D) department. As a key member of our team, you'll dive into exciting systems engineering projects, from analog-digital sensory measurement to cutting-edge automation initiatives.
What You'll Do:
- Ensure precision and reliability in our systems through ingenious control systems design.
- Craft intuitive user experiences with equipment via innovative HMIs and graphical interfaces.
- Be at the forefront of sensory technology development, particularly in packaging inspection applications.
- Design, select, and implement components, bringing our proprietary technologies to life.
- Lead the charge in programming, documenting, and testing finalized technologies across diverse industries.
- Embark on thrilling domestic and international travel adventures to bring our solutions to the world.
The role is positioned on our client's R&D team, focused on the development of new applications and custom engineering to help support the food, medical device, and pharmaceutical industries with leading edge engineering and a focus on critical packaging applications.
Requirements (required and preferred):
- 8-10+ years of job experience as a controls engineer
- PLC & HMI programming “from scratch” capability and debugging other’s code on Beckhoff Control Systems
- Programming robots and/or vision systems
- Experience with selecting and integrating sensors and actuators into the controls architecture
- Expertise in using various communication protocols to integrate/network between controls
systems
- Is comfortable reading and debugging electrical schematics and panels
- Working well with a team of controls engineers and/or mentoring
- Has basic mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge as it applies to controls engineering
- B.S degree or greater in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Industrial
Engineering or a related field
- Experience with Servo motors, Stepper Motors, HMIs
