Masis Professional Group is assisting a client in higher education searching for an Executive Director of Human Resources in the Berkshire County, Massachusetts area.
Job Description:
The Executive Director of Human Resources will play a pivotal role in shaping the college institution's success. You'll oversee all human resources initiatives, ensuring compliance, fostering a positive work environment, and supporting our strategic goals.
This position is intended as a temp-to-perm role to ensure alignment and effective transition with the potential to culminate in an offer of a permanent position with the college. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the college's mission.
- Manage recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes.
- Oversee benefits administration, compensation, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements.
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the HR team.
Experience and Educational Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in higher education.
- Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and labor laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with HR information systems and applicant tracking systems.
