Our client is seeking an experienced Real Estate Partner to join their team in Chicago. Their real estate practice offers comprehensive services to clients with commercial and residential real estate holdings. They bring extensive experience across the entire spectrum of real estate law, providing strategic guidance on property ownership, regulatory compliance, tax optimisation, financing, investment strategies, and land acquisition.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal counsel to clients in all areas of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing.
- Represent a diverse range of clients, including community associations, developers, landlords, hotel operators, property owners, and tenants.
- Navigate complex real estate issues such as zoning matters, foreclosures, title disputes, and real estate litigation.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide array of real estate contracts and agreements, including purchase agreements, development agreements, management agreements, and hotel management contracts.
- Advise clients on the creation of legal entities for property ownership, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Extensive experience in real estate law, with a focus on commercial and residential transactions.
- Proven track record of managing complex real estate transactions and litigation.
- Strong client management skills, with the ability to understand and address the unique business and legal concerns of real estate clients.
- A strong network of industry contacts in the Chicago real estate market.
