We are looking for a Buyer with 2+ years of related experience! Experience in the Service / Industrial industry required.
Position Title: Materials Buyer
Key Responsibilities:
- Stay updated on markets to refine negotiation strategies.
- Forecast price trends and their business impacts.
- Research and identify top products and suppliers for value, delivery, and quality.
- Facilitate communication between suppliers, manufacturers, internal departments, and customers.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts and monitor service quality.
- Prepare pricing quotes, verify specifications, and seek supplier recommendations.
- Use a pricing database to ensure competitive quotes.
- Source services to reduce COGS for the company and its partners.
- Manage item and pricing data in Oracle.
- Approve purchase requisitions, resolve issues, and suggest alternatives.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of buying experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field preferred.
- CALT certification is a plus.
- Knowledge in lighting, electrical, or LED project management is a plus.
- Experience in material procurement and vendor negotiations.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).
Additional Info:
- Pay range: $60,000 to $65,000 + 10% companywide bonus
- Schedule: M-F, flexible hours
- Location: In office
