Job Description
The VP of Pipelines will have overall responsibility for developing a team of professionals to define a national strategy and lead the tactical execution of this business unit operationally. This leader will be expected to promote a results-oriented culture in others to earn the confidence and credibility to partner with their team and other senior leaders within the company.
The essential job functions include, but are not limited to
- Strong understanding of the water midstream market with prior commercial and preferably P&L experience.
- Proven experience defining and executing a national strategy within the oil and gas sector.
- Excellent commercial skills – a leader who inherently knows how to identify an opportunity, build a team and execute, resulting in profitable growth.
- High energy, self-starter who proactively identifies & executes key strategic, financial and tactical priorities.
- Review and update best management practices for pipeline operations and provide guidance on how to best optimize asset base.
- Ensure logistical pipeline flows assist in water balancing across overall system.
- Team player that complements Select’s leadership team.
- Willing to dedicate the personal time and energy required to perform in a lean operating environment – The senior leadership team is small, and all are contributors.
- Highest standards of honesty & integrity.
- Excellent analytical skills, particularly the ability to quickly assimilate information and get to the essence of an issue.
- Strong at building and fostering relationships, both inside and outside the company.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- 3+ years of related experience and/or training.
- Must possess valid driver’s license and be eligible to drive a company vehicle according to Select’s insurance guidelines.
- Be willing to travel as needed.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Skilled in the standards, concepts, practices, and procedures within the regulatory field.
- Ability to work at all levels within the organization and the ability to work in a diverse work group.
