Union Hospital in Elkton, Maryland, a part of Christiana Care Health System is seeking an RN to work in the Float Pool team. In this position, you will work in various units and learn valuable skills.
Hours: This position is 36 hours per week, NightShift. Weekend and Holiday requirements per the guideline of the department. Predominate shift is a Day shift (7P to 7A).

At ChristianaCare, Union Hospital our 12 bed Clinical Decision Unit is seeking a Registered Nurse for Part time 7P to 7A - 36 hours per week. Our CDU has been created to provide superior patient care to those patients requiring observation. Job Summary: The nurse uses the standards of practice and professional performance with assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation according to the Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics.
The staff nurse is a licensed RN who is responsible for providing safe, effective nursing care to patients using the nursing process and aligning with accepted standards of progressive care nursing and the policies and procedures of Union Hospital. The RN administers monitors, and documents medications and treatments within the scope of practice. The RN monitors and reports expected and adverse reactions to treatments, procedures and medications. The RN provides individualizing care, collaborating with patient, family and doctor. The RN is responsible for coordinating and giving to the commitment of providing a safe and secure unit for patient care. This job requires employees to demonstrate initial and annual proficiencies in order to remain in the position.

Requirements
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Maryland RN license or license from a compact state. American Heart Association BLS required. American Heart Association ACLS required within 1 year of start date. NIH Stroke certification required within 90 days of start date.
