POSITION SUMMARY:
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Office Supervisor for the Primary/OB Clinic reports directly to the Chief Nursing Executive. San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital (SGMH) is seeking a dedicated and experienced LVN Office Supervisor for our Primary Care/OB-GYN clinic. This role combines clinical and administrative responsibilities to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the clinic, while providing high-quality patient care.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES (not all inclusive):
Clinical Duties:
- Performs routine clinical tasks including taking patient histories, vital signs, and assisting with exams and procedures.
- Administers medications and injections as prescribed by the physician.
- Provides patient education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment plans.
- Assists with prenatal and postnatal care under the guidance of OB-GYN providers.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Administrative Duties:
- Supervises daily operations of the clinic, ensuring efficient workflow and optimal patient care.
- Coordinates staff schedules, manage time-off requests, and ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Oversees patient scheduling, registration, and billing processes.
- Handles patient inquiries and complaints, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Ensures compliance with all clinic policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Conducts staff meetings and training sessions to promote continuous improvement and professional development.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education / Licensure / Credentials:
- Current California LVN License in good standing.
- BLS from American Heart Association.
- IV and Blood Withdrawal Certification.
- Certification in medical office management (e.g., CMOM, CPM) preferred
Experience:
- Experience: Minimum of three years of clinical experience, preferably in a primary care or OB/GYN setting.
- Previous supervisory or managerial experience, required.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards, preferred.
Required Skills:
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to perform a variety of patient care tasks.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and clinic management software.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
PAY / BENEFITS:
• Estimated pay: $65,000 to $85,000 annual base rate based on qualifications (including but not limited to experience, education, certifications, and licensure, where applicable).
