ASE is conducting a search for member organization in the Beverage Manufacturing and Service industry which is experiencing rapid expansion. Located in the historic heart of Detroit, this position requires a five-day onsite presence, and the ability to travel to other Michigan locations as required.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Operations Manager will oversee all aspects of production and operations across several lines of business. This role is crucial for ensuring manufacturing processes are efficient, cost-effective, and meet the highest standards of quality and safety. The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing production teams, optimizing processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to support our company’s growth and success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee Daily Operations: Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of several lines of business, ensuring that all teams are optimized and running smooth
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of division supervisors, operators, and support staff to achieve operational goals and foster a culture of teamwork and accountability.
- Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve processes to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures for all lines of business
- Safety Compliance: Promote and enforce a strong safety culture by ensuring that all operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including sales, and supply chain, to support new product development, process improvements, and customer service excellence.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and increasing overall productivity.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations management, preferably within the beverage or food industry.
- Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading and developing teams, with a focus on driving results and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Process Improvement: Strong background in process improvement methodologies.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with manufacturing equipment, production processes, and quality control standards specific to the beverage industry.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with all levels of the organization.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in operations management, industrial engineering, or a related field is preferred. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
COMPENSATION: For we'll-qualified individuals, the base compensation range for this position is in the low to mid six figure range
