Our client, an upscale fine-dining restaurant, is seeking a dynamic General Manager to oversee one of their most important units in Charlotte, NC. This role is one of the most prestigious positions within the company, offering high visibility with clients, suppliers, and the corporate team.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations;
- Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction;
- Organize and supervise shifts;
- Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity;
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations;
- Manage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it;
- Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste;
- Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses;
- Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events;
- Recommend ways to reach a broader audience;
- Hire and train new and current employees;
- Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations.
Requirements
- Experience in fine dining;
- Proven work experience in restaurant/hospitality management;
- Proven customer service experience;
- Extensive food and beverage knowledge;
- Familiarity with restaurant management software;
- Strong leadership, motivational and people skills;
- Acute financial management skills;
- Bachelor's degree is a plus;
- Knowledge of wine and beef cuts is a plus.
