A multidisciplinary law firm is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join their legal team in the Atlanta Office to work with their General Liability practice group. This team is rapidly growing with a strong, growing book of business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone that is interested in growing with the a firm and being on a partner track.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and agreements
- Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and mediations
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases
- Maintain billable hours as necessary
- Manage client relationships and a caseload with supervision
- Assist in the representation of clients in motion practice, conferences, mediations, and trial when and where necessary
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Licensed in the State of Georgia
- 2+ years of experience working in a law office or similar legal environment (Clerkships in Superior Court will also be considered)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with the Georgia Civil Practice Act along with relevant matter handling experience is necessary.
Competitive Salary and Benefits.
The ideal candidate will have experience in discovery, especially depositions, motion practice, and ideally have at least some second chair litigation experience at the trial level.
***At least 2-3 years experience in General Liability Insurance matters is a requirement for consideration for this position.
