Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Interim Legal Talent group has an immediate need for two (2), Interim Real Estate Counsel candidates for the investment arm of a large financial services organization.
Overview: Our Client seeks seasoned and skilled transactional real estate attorneys an extended project.
Company: Our Client is a division of a Fortune 500 financial services organization
Experience: Eight to ten years acquired in a top law firm and/or in-house environment advising clients on complex, real estate transactions.
Location: The Client is open to fully remote candidates and/or candidates seeking to work on a hybrid basis in its New Jersey office.
Responsibilities Include:
- Negotiate and draft real estate investment agreements, including: acquisitions, joint ventures, preferred equity, leases/ lease modifications, forced sales, workouts, foreclosures, deeds in lieu of foreclosure, mezzanine loans, and restructuring.
- Advise client of potential risks associated with said agreements.
- Serve as a point of contact for the business team on legal questions related to real estate investment agreements.
Qualifications:
- Excellent academic and professional credentials, including a Juris Doctorate from an accredited, US-based law school.
- Eight to ten years acquired in a law firm or corporate environment advising clients on complex real estate transactions.
- Excellent attention to detail in oral and written communication.
- Admission to at least one state bar active and in good standing.
