Chase and Associates is excited to be partnering with a forward-thinking new group manufacturing flexible packaging for a variety of consumer applications. This organization is thinking about sustainability on multiple fronts, in ways that help the environment in addition to driving cost saving initiatives for their customer base.
This is where you GENERAL MANAGER - RENO comes in. Reno, Nevada is going to be the first facility building out a western United States regional presence for this role. This leader is going to be responsible for staffing out and operating a new 150K square foot plant with 100+ workers of various skill levels across four shifts on a 24 hour schedule. This role will have in house HR and some local purchasing, as well as warehousing and Logistics.
This facility is going to start with 4 operating lines and have room to add several more.
In addition - this is an entrepreneurial role with a growing organization, in the words of the owner "This is site two of many." Success in this key role has significant growth opportunities within this organization.
What we Need
- Expertise in operational leadership of a manufacturing facility in mass production.
- Experience staffing a new facility. Knowledge of local staffing firms and labor markets a plus.
- Ability to implement Continuous Improvement methodology in a workforce. Show me your metrics, your growth and stories.
- Entrepreneurial drive and spirit.
- Flexible Packaging experience highly preferred.
- 24 hour facility operation also preferred.
