Position Summary:
A full-time opportunity is now open for a Senior Irrigation Manager in Atlanta. The role entails overseeing irrigation operations throughout our Maintenance branches in the Atlanta area. Additionally, the individual will offer support to the Installation team when available.
Senior Irrigation Manager responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Build, manage, and develop and quality control a skilled irrigation team for the Maintenance Branches in the Atlanta market, providing ad hoc support for Install as needed. The primary focus and reporting will be to maintenance, but the expectation is that this person and their team will be available to support the Install Branch as well.
- Prepare and manage the irrigation budget, including cost estimation, billing, and financial reporting. Own the P&L. Meet budget. Grow the profitability of our irrigation business.
- Able to complete complex $200k + estimates. This will be needed as part of the support role for Install.
- Manage the overall day-to-day operations of the crews and coordinate with the team of Maintenance Account Managers and, as needed, Install Project Managers on priorities
- Coordinate, manage and monitor irrigation operations. Specifically, you will supervise and perform irrigation projects from start to finish, coordinate job activities and materials, ensure sound procedures and company policies are followed. You’ll prioritize daily work lists, train and oversee the technicians, and ensure the completion of daily time sheets and weekly reports.
- Identify resources needed for team and assigns individual responsibilities: schedules, crew members, equipment needs, and repairs.
- Available to crew leaders for horticulture training, equipment repairs, daily instructions, labor conflicts.
- Ensure a safe environment for employees, clients and the general public.
- Manage the procurement and inventory of irrigation materials, tools, and equipment.
- Effectively apply Landscape Workshop methodology and enforces project standards.
- Minimizes Landscape Workshop exposure and risks on projects.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in irrigation management.
- Assist Branch Manager with project budgets.
- Bilingual is preferred.
