Job Description
This position manages the administration of payroll using ADP Workforce Now, as well as managing the day-to-day payroll functions including, payroll processing, payroll taxes, reporting/analytics, reviewing and revising payroll procedures as well as internal controls. Ensure payroll tax payments are in compliance with applicable federal, state and local tax laws. Reconcile payroll related to general ledger accounts.
Responsibilities, Skills and Qualifications
- Requires in-depth understanding of business principles related to payroll laws and regulatory requirements.
- A minimum of 5 years of related payroll administration and multi-state payroll processing using payroll processing software. Prior related experience processing payroll using ADP Workforce Now.
- Requires intermediate to advanced excel skills.
- Must possess current working knowledge of federal and state payroll laws and maintain current on laws in the states where each corporation operates.
- Requires proficient working knowledge, including the ability to run reports and other required financial documentation.
- Mathematical aptitude, analysis skills and ability to communicate such verbally and in writing required.
- Requires ability to speak clearly and with accuracy to interact with others in person or on the phone.
- Proficient working knowledge of policies and procedures required.
- Requires ability to foster positive working relationships within a team environment.
- Requires ability to manage feedback and avoid conflict to ensure you can troubleshoot any problems that may arise in day-to-day operations.
- Requires recognized ability to meet multiple deadlines by maintaining a high level of organization.
