ACTIVE TOP SECRET OR TS/SCI CLEARANCE REQUIRED: A client of Insight Global is currently seeking a Software Engineer to join their team located in Colorado Springs, CO or Schriever AFB, CO. This position will support Software Engineer activities for critical national defense programs and work directly with and assist Program Lead Engineers and Program Senior Leadership. The client works with proprietary customers in the development of the next generation technologies in space. The group works all facets of engineering from technology investment, concept development, proposal writing, requirements and design, build, integration, test, and demonstration of products in their relevant environments.
Position Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 3-4 software and network engineers.
- Utilize Python and Java software languages to develop satellite ground control systems.
- Agile Development within a cross-discipline team
- Continuous integration, testing, and delivery within a CI/CD pipeline
- Utilize microservice containerized software architecture.
- Utilize Kubernetes, Docker
- Decompose complex requirements and capabilities into executable discrete user stories.
Required Skills and Experience *
- Active U.S. TSSCI Security Clearance (TS permissible)
- 4 years of experience in a management role leading a team of software and network engineers.
- 5 + years of experience utilizing Python for software development.
- 3 + years of experience utilizing Java development processes.
- 2 + years of experience in developing software unit tests and automated functional testing.
- Agile Software Development within a cross-discipline team utilizing Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.) or similar tools.
- Continuous integration, testing, and delivery within a CI/CD pipeline.
- Experience utilizing microservice containerized software architecture.
- Experience utilizing Kubernetes and Docker
