We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Quality Control Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in civil engineering, with at least 10 years of experience in the industry, especially in commercial land development projects. This individual should have a demonstrated ability to oversee quality control processes, mentor staff, and effectively manage relationships with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Conduct independent engineering calculations to ensure the accuracy and reliability of project outputs.
- Utilize AutoCAD and/or Civil3D to create construction drawings and technical specifications for public, private, and institutional projects.
- Transform concept designs into comprehensive construction documents while adhering to relevant codes and regulations.
- Effectively research and analyze project components, ensuring that all necessary aspects are considered and addressed.
- Provide support to project teams on various client projects, facilitating communication and collaboration among team members.
- Coordinate with local agencies as required, ensuring compliance with jurisdictional requirements and standards.
- Supervise, coach, and mentor staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement on design efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineering (PE) certification required.
- A minimum of 10 years of civil engineering experience, with a focus on commercial land development projects.
- At least four years of experience in a project management role.
- Ability to manage projects of varying scope, from small to large scale, while meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in civil engineering and land development-based CAD drafting using Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Knowledge of local jurisdictional requirements is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
