Position: Production Quality Engineer
Location: Marshall, MI (On-Site)
Job Overview:
To better serve the global auto industry electric vehicle trend in the United States, we are seeking multiple dedicated and experienced Production Quality Engineers to oversee the quality management and control of our production line processes. This role involves implementing quality assurance activities, managing process changes, addressing quality issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions
• Oversee and ensure quality management and control of the production line processes.
• Implement and monitor quality control measures to maintain high standards.
• Ensure all quality-related activities are performed in compliance with company standards and requirements.
• Monitor and manage quality activities including SPC (Statistical Process Control), FAI (First Article Inspection), MES (Manufacturing Execution System) inspection, CTQ (Critical to Quality) management, FIFO (First In, First Out), error prevention, rework, and equipment qualification.
• Implement lessons learned and horizontal measures to prevent recurrence of quality issues.
• Support various process audits, including process audits and LPA (Layered Process Audit) audits.
• Conduct quality risk identification and initiate quality improvement activities.
• Manage changes in the production process and ensure effective implementation of process response plans.
• Coordinate with relevant teams to handle process changes smoothly.
• Provide training and support to enhance the team's overall competency.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. • 3+ years of experience in production quality control or quality assurance, particularly in the vehicle manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems and tools, including SPC, FAI, and MES.
• Proficient in using quality analysis and improvement tools such as FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), FTA (Fault Tree Analysis), 8D (8 Disciplines Problem Solving), Six Sigma, and SPC (Statistical Process Control).
• Strong data analysis and processing abilities.
• Proficient in using office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain a full-time work schedule with regular in-person attendance is required for this position.
• Ability to interact professionally with individuals of varied backgrounds and skill level.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to move around work sites, which may include walking, standing, and climbing ladders or stairs.
• Flexibility to bend, kneel, or crouch, particularly when inspecting installations or troubleshooting.
• Capability to lift and carry moderate weights, typically up to 25-50 pounds. • Occasional lifting of heavier items may be required.
• Ability to work in various environments, including offices, construction sites, and manufacturing facilities.
• Willingness and ability to travel to various job sites, which may require driving or other forms of transportation
