Our client is seeking an Data Center Technician for a 6 month contract on W2 with high potential to convert into fulltime. This role is onsite to Elk Grove Village, IL 60007.

- Experience using a Fluke cable tester
Resource's typical working day:
- They will be preforming rack and stack on servers and network assets in a data center
- The Tech will need to install and test fiber and copper cabling
- They will also need to know how to terminate copper
- They will need to reboot a device and have general familiarity with how severs work
- Experience using a Fluke cable tester would be highly preferred
- Work on ladders 7-8 feet off the floor
- Install servers that can weight up to 40-50 lbs. (will use a server lift and always working in teams)
- They are occasionally asked to be on trouble shooting calls or speak to the client
- Very fast pace and busy data center environment
Years of Experience needed: Two years’ working in a data center
Level of Education: H.S Diploma
Systems/Software proficiencies: Microsoft Office Suite (especially excel and teams)
