General Job Description Summary:
Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Operations Manager is responsible for all operations within the EWR area.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the Carlstadt, NJ area operations, including transportation, warehousing (sortation and fulfillment centers) and logistics, with a strong focus on the customer.
- Meet and significantly exceed all company directed Key Performance Indicators around speed, cost, and quality in order to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
- Recruit, hire, and lead the operation’s team.
- Establish and maintain a safe and healthy working environment that adheres to all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Evaluate the overall operation’s performance and productivity. Identify, research, develop, and implement growth strategies to meet growth objectives.
- Manage customer relationships in the assigned region to ensure successful operation and overall customer satisfaction.
- Act as a liaison between our customers, internal and external key stakeholders.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- 5+ years of operations experience, including at least 3 years of warehouse management, supply chain and logistics
- LEAN Operational Excellence background, training with a demonstrated ability to execute multiple projects systematically
- Robust approach to problem solving with a continuous improvement mindset
- First Principles focus with strong base of analytical skills
- Strong hands on leader, multiplier, and simplifier
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Hours:
Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This position may require weekend, night, and holiday hours according to the needs of the company.
Travel:
This position requires 10-15% of travel time.

The targeted base salary range for this role is listed in the compensation section below. Actual salary may be above or below this range based on location, skills, and relevant experience. In addition, this position may include additional compensation in the form of bonuses, equity, or commissions.
