UHY is currently supporting a client, in the midst of a Workday Payroll Implementation, seeking an experienced consultant to support them for 6+ months.
The role will offer a hybrid work arrangement out of their offices in Troy, MI.
HR Workday Implementation Consultant Key Responsibilities:
- Workday Payroll Implementation: Support the implementation of Workday Payroll, working closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful deployment and configuration.
- Data Migration and Validation: Extract, transform, and load (ETL) payroll data from legacy systems into Workday. Perform data validation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Data Manipulation and Analysis: Utilize advanced Excel skills, SQL, and other tools to manipulate and analyze large datasets. Identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Testing and Troubleshooting: Help execute test plans to validate payroll processes and integrations. Troubleshoot issues and work with the technical team to resolve any system-related problems.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with HR, finance, and IT departments to gather requirements, provide regular updates, and ensure alignment on project goals.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify areas for process improvement within payroll operations and system functionality, suggesting and implementing best practices.
HR Workday Implementation Consultant Qualifications:
- Workday Expertise: Proven experience in implementing Workday Payroll, including hands-on experience with configuration, data migration, and system testing.
- Data Skills: Strong proficiency in data manipulation and analysis, such as advanced Excel, SQL, and ETL tools. Ability to work with complex datasets and derive actionable insights.
- Project Management: Experience in managing or participating in large-scale payroll implementation projects, with a strong understanding of project timelines and deliverables.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose issues and provide effective solutions quickly.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in handling sensitive payroll data.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
HR Workday Implementation Consultant Preferred Qualifications:
- Workday certification in Payroll.
- Experience with payroll in multiple states.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and integrations.
