Job Title: Virology Analyst
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares cell pellets and virus stocks
- Prepares RCB (Research Cell Banks)
- Large-scale and small-scale nucleic acid extractions
- Performs testing for virus characterization
- Prepares cell culture media, solutions, buffers, other assay-related reagents, makes aliquots and labels
- Provides routine care and maintenance of cell lines
- Performs testing for virus characterization
POSITION EXPERTISE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s degree with 1 year experience in lab setting.
- Proficiency in basic laboratory techniques, including aseptic and virology techniques.
- Experience in bioassay method development.
- Experience in TCID50 and plague assays.
