We are seeking an Inventory & Procurement Coordinator with extensive experience in luxury residential area rugs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining inventory levels, sourcing new product from established vendor relationships, and working with our Marketing department to ensure rug inventory is accurate on our website. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to analyze data to optimize inventory control. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Duties:
- Manage inventory levels, including conducting regular inventory audits and analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Utilize analytics and financial analysis to optimize inventory control, minimize waste, and maximize profitability.
- Analyze supplier contracts and negotiate with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery.
- Work with existing suppliers to source rugs based on client specific needs and/or owner's aesthetic direction.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including tracking inventory movement and identifying discrepancies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless inventory management and fulfillment of customer orders.
- Conduct regular inventory counts to ensure accuracy and maintain inventory levels within acceptable limits.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality products.
Requirements:
- Access to reliable car and clean driving record.
- At least two years of experience with luxury area rugs.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven experience in inventory management or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with supplier management and contract negotiation.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
