Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated RF Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, simulating, and testing RF systems and components for our space-based applications. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to develop and optimize RF circuits and systems that meet the demanding requirements of space missions. Proficiency in CST, AWR, Python, and Altium is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop RF circuits, components, and systems for satellite and space-based applications.
- Perform simulations and analysis using CST and AWR to validate RF designs and ensure they meet performance specifications.
- Develop and implement testing procedures for RF components, including antennas, amplifiers, filters, and transceivers.
- Work with Altium for PCB design and layout of RF circuits, ensuring proper signal integrity and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
- Collaborate with hardware engineers, systems engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate RF systems into larger space-based platforms.
- Conduct RF testing, troubleshooting, and validation in both lab and field environments, ensuring that designs perform as expected under space conditions.
- Use Python for automation of RF testing, data analysis, and to support RF design processes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in RF technology and apply best practices to improve the performance and reliability of our systems.
- Document designs, simulations, and test results, and present findings to the engineering team and management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in RF circuit and system design, with experience in space or satellite applications preferred.
- Proficiency in using CST and AWR for RF simulation and design.
- Experience with Altium for PCB design, particularly in high-frequency RF applications.
- Strong programming skills in Python for data analysis, test automation, and design support.
- Hands-on experience with RF testing and measurement equipment (e.g., network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
- Knowledge of electromagnetic theory, microwave engineering, and antenna design.
- Familiarity with space environment constraints and requirements, including radiation tolerance and thermal management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with satellite communications, including link budget analysis and system optimization.
- Understanding of EMC/EMI considerations in space applications.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance for space communications.
