Mechanic (Heavy Equipment/Truck) needed for asphalt milling and paving company
Mechanic needed to repair and maintain milling machines, pavers, rollers, skid steers, broom tractors, backhoes and more. Occasional work needed on trucks as well (dump trucks, service trucks, pickups, etc.)
Job duties include:
- Maintain & Repair Paving Equipment
- Diagnose electrical problems
- Work on hydraulic systems
- Welding and cutting with torch
- Order/Replace parts as needed
- Maintain work vehicles
- Occasional engine rebuild
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check
- Must be legal to work in the US
- Must be organized
- Provide your own tools
- Willing to work overtime
- Willing to work occasional Saturdays as needed
Preferred:
- 2 years experience
- Class A or B License with a clean driving record
- Experience using crane to lift heavy objects
Work Location: Durham NC. Most work is done in a shop setting but occasionally work may be needed in the field.
