Our government partner in the National Security Sector currently has an opening for a cleared Aeronautical Information Specialist! This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience supporting the DoD Aeronautical Safety of Navigation mission. Primary responsibilities include:
- Acquire a working understanding of DAFIF specifications by achieving and maintaining all training requirements.
- Review aeronautical safety of navigation documents and data for viability and accuracy.
- Create mission specific datasets in response to both customer requirements as well as crisis areas of the world using a variety of aeronautical source.
- Support digital terminal instrument procedure production processes by adding, updating, or deleting terminal procedure records in the Aeronautical Application Suite.
Basic qualifications:
- US citizenship is required per contract with the US government.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- At least five years of aviation experience that could include but is not limited to: pilot (must include instrument flight experience), navigator, air traffic control, mission planning, airfield operations, aeronautical digital coding specialist, or TERPS specialist.
- At least five years of experience with foreign and/or domestic aeronautical safety of navigation publications.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Possess effective communication skills and be able to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced dynamic work environment.
Preferred qualifications:
- At least five years of analyzing aeronautical data provided from a variety of sources for completeness and accuracy to build or update DoD Terminal procedures.
