A local municipality is looking for an experienced legal secretary for long term contract work. Typically these contracts can last up to six months and often beyond! You will work with a pool of Legal Secretaries servicing attorneys working on a variety of civic cases.

- Civil litigation, calendaring, demonstrates ability to meet deadlines

- Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills
- Has the ability to multi-task efficiently
- Demonstrates proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & Outlook)
Duties:
- Filing, formatting, law and motions pleadings, proficient with word
- Preparing court statements and forms
- Managing records, projects and calendars to make sure everything functions smoothly
- Transcribing and proofreading legal documents
- Arrange court orders, depositions
- Creating discovery response shells, copying and pasting request
- Indexing and updating pleadings and discovery binders
- Collecting and delivering documents
- Provide response areas for the paralegal
- Filing for State and Federal
- TOC's and TOA's
