We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Workers' Compensation Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys and paralegals in managing workers' compensation cases, ensuring efficient and effective handling of all client matters. This position requires excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys and paralegals in the preparation and filing of workers' compensation claims and legal documents.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files and records, both electronically and in hard copy.
- Communicate with clients, medical providers, insurance companies, and opposing counsel to gather necessary information and documentation.
- Schedule and coordinate medical appointments, depositions, and hearings.
- Monitor case deadlines and ensure timely submission of all required documentation.
- Provide administrative support, including data entry, document drafting, and correspondence management.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the legal team.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a law firm, particularly in workers' compensation or personal injury, is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of workers' compensation laws and procedures in Florida.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
