Position Summary
AV Squad is looking for a customer-facing, enthusiastic IT professional to join its ranks. Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years of experience, ideally with a background supporting users in an agency environment housing post-production, print, graphic design, and/or VFX. Ideal candidate is a happy to be on the front lines, a natural problem solver, strong communicator, and self-starter with an innate willingness to learn about new systems, software, and hardware solutions. This is a TEAM role, where an individual can own projects but always functions in a collaborative environment with support from his/her IT counterparts. This is a unique opportunity for anyone looking to broaden their resume and expertise, while working alongside one of the most dynamic and growth-oriented IT teams in the industry. Position pays $28/hr - $48/hr, depending on experience and role. The shift is likely 11am - 8pm.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities
· Active listener: Capable of diagnosing software and hardware issues by carefully understanding user concerns and identifying the best course of action to resolve them.
· Clear and effective communicator: Able to explain technical problems and solutions in a way that is easy to understand for both technical and non-technical users.
· Proficient with Adobe applications: Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, supporting creative teams with technical troubleshooting and setup
· Troubleshooting / Working in Postproduction Workflows
· Setup hardware and peripheral components and install and troubleshoot software, operating systems, networking components.
· Assist in the customization and adaptation of existing programs to meet users’ and business needs.
· Provide telephone, in-person, and remote support to end-users.
· Assist in research and procurement of computer accessories and supplies.
· Be part of an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Beneficial Skills and Experience
· IT support in a post-production environment for at least 2 years
· A/V Editorial Experience
· Ability to lift 50 lbs
· Scripting, API Integrations a plus
· General Familiarity with Databases (SQL, PostGres, Realm/MongoDB) a plus
