What We Are Looking For
Bandwidth is seeking a passionate and hardworking
Carrier Relations Manager to join our Messaging Product Operations team. Messaging Product Operations is a core discipline focused on operationalizing Bandwidth’s Messaging Products. This role will help achieve scale and growth needs for A2P Messaging. Our goal is to create value and build partnerships within Bandwidth and the Messaging ecosystem. We are a growing, detail-oriented, efficient, and proactive team. Our next teammate will need to be curious, intuitive, and a problem solver with an analytical mind and possess applicable business experience in identifying, building, and maintaining strategic business relationships.
What You'll Do
- Vendor management and/or relationship management; Experience identifying, creating, and managing relationships with Messaging and industry providers, partners, and mobile operators.
- Contract review and negotiation.
- Knowledge and experience in the Text Messaging industry and ecosystem
- Creation of customer-facing FAQs, product descriptions, internal how-to guides, references, articles, dashboards, and assistance with product support documentation and project milestones for product launches. Experience creating and giving presentations to senior leadership.
- Challenge what is with what should be - dig deeper into areas that need improvement whether that be in data, processes, documentation, communication, revenue gaps, etc., and drive resolution of these issues.
- Subject matter expertise in Text Messaging. Ability to apply this expertise to support the messaging product team, customers, and other internal teams in researching and solving problems.
- Ability to solve complex problems using tact, common courtesy, persuasion, and discretion.
- Act as an auxiliary for the Operations team - assist with knowledge transfer, identifying and closing revenue gaps, provide data for back billing, and support the team during the monthly close by answering audit questions and verifying surcharge rates/amounts.
- Self manage and prioritize responsibilities based on the biggest business impact.
What You Need
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2-3 years of Operations experience
- 3-5 years of Project Management experience
- 3-5 years of Product Management experience
- Working knowledge in Supply Chain Management, Vendor Management, Procurement, Legal, Government Affairs or Regulatory
- Minimum 5 years of work experience managing multiple priorities and working with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to build productive relationships with internal teams, external providers, and mobile operators
- Ability to think objectively and interpret meaningful themes from quantitative and qualitative data
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities; manage time, multiple tasks, and deadlines effectively
- Advanced level of proficiency with Excel and experience using PowerPoint
- Ability to thrive and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Analytical, problem-solving, communication (written, verbal, and listening), and organizational skills
