Associate Process Engineer

About this Role
Fully integrate with this exciting food company to serve as an Associate Process Engineer, working with the R&D team to run Pilot Trials of new products! You will be responsible for the Operation and Maintenance of R&D Pilot Plant equipment to develop and assess new processes, and producing samples for New Product Development.
Activities include skilled Operation and Mechanical Maintenance of the Pilot Plant equipment. This role will work closely with other R&D Process Engineers, follow Safety and Operational Instructions, collect Data and Samples, and use related Analytical Tools in service of the experimentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Properly operate, troubleshoot and maintain Pilot Scale Processing Equipment.
- Perform systematic Preventative Maintenance, including Electrical and Mechanical Adjustments, inspections, and minor repairs.
- Work closely with other R&D team members to problem-solve and to ensure maximum production efficiencies.
- Maintain accurate Records and Logs as required. Provide feedback to the Development Team for Pilot Trials.
- Comply with all Standard Safety Practices, Safety Rules, and all Company rules and policies.
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) in the execution of the Work Schedule.
- Ensures the area is maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly fashion.
- Read, understand, and comply with Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Data Sheets.
Requirements
- BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, Food Technology or related engineering field.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Food, Beverage, Nutraceutical, Pharma, or similar CPG industry manufacturing.
- Preferred a minimum of 2 years of experience in R&D Pilot Plant operations
- Must be within 1 hr drive to the Atlanta, GA area.
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Use of software including MS Word, MS Excel, and Analytical Software platforms.

Salary: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour Contract
