Microbiologist
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Working situation: Onsite – Full Time, Perm Direct Hire
Our client, a successful and growing food and beverage company, is hiring at one of it’s newer US locations!
As a Microbiologist, you will contribute to various laboratory activities and research projects related to microbiology. Your responsibilities will include performing microbiological tests, analyzing samples, maintaining laboratory equipment, and assisting in data analysis. The ideal candidate will have excellent laboratory skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
The Microbiologist will:
- Perform microbiological tests and experiments under the supervision of senior microbiologists
- Prepare and analyze samples, including isolation, identification, and characterization of microorganisms
- Train and develop technicians on a variety of QC tools and instrumentation
- Assist in the development and optimization of new laboratory protocols and techniques
- Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records, including experimental procedures, results, and observations
- Prepare media, reagents, and solutions necessary for microbiological testing and research
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including autoclaves, incubators, spectrophotometers, and centrifuges
The Microbiologist has the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (required)
- Experience in a Quality Control or Analytical Development
- Industry experience in food & beverage, pharma, chemicals, or other adjacent industries
