Our client is a large organization that is building out its team to undergo a tech transformation. They pride themselves on fostering an environment where their employees’ voices are always heard, and they are constantly being challenged. They are looking for a Server Engineer who has significant technical experience and a proven track record in managing and implementing enterprise-level server solutions. This is an onsite position based in Fairfield County, CT.
Server Engineer’s Responsibilities and Duties
- Monitor server performance, system health, and storage availability. Perform regular updates, patches, and backups to ensure optimal system performance and security.
- Manage and maintain Microsoft Windows Server OS, Active Directory Services, and Exchange environments. Configure and administer internet services, including DHCP, WINS, and security protocols.
- Provide technical support for server-related issues, troubleshooting and resolving complex problems related to hardware, software, and network configurations.
- Administer SAN/NAS storage systems, including NetApp and HP XP StorageWorks technologies, ensuring efficient data storage, backup, and recovery processes.
Server Engineer’s Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant technical experience, including at least 3 years of enterprise experience working with Citrix, SANs (preferably NetApp), and VMWare.
- Extensive expertise in the following: Microsoft Windows Server OS, Active Directory Services, Exchange 2010 and 2013, Internet Service Configuration and Management, Bridgehead Backup, McAfee Virus Protection and ePolicy Administration, DHCP and WINS, Cisco UCS Server Hardware Architecture, Storage Technologies
