Position Overview: The HR Manager will oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes for our chemical manufacturing facility. This role will be responsible for managing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with safety and labor regulations. The HR Manager will also work closely with department heads to ensure alignment of HR strategies with business objectives and foster a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead recruitment and onboarding efforts, ensuring staffing needs are met with high-quality talent.
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage employee relations, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and maintaining a positive workplace culture.
- Oversee compensation, benefits administration, and performance evaluation processes.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws, including OSHA and chemical safety regulations.
- Provide coaching and support to managers on HR-related matters such as performance management and disciplinary actions.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives to promote retention and job satisfaction.
- Manage training and development programs, ensuring employees are equipped with necessary skills.
- Administer payroll and manage employee data records.
- Support diversity and inclusion initiatives within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of HR management experience, preferably in a manufacturing or chemical industry.
- In-depth knowledge of employment law, labor regulations, and OSHA requirements.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Experience with HRIS systems and payroll management.
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
