Service Dispatcher (Sacramento, CA)
LHH is teaming up with an HVAC company in Sacramento, CA in search of an experienced Service Dispatcher. This temp-to-hire role offers the opportunity to contribute to a positive work environment while playing a key role in operational success.
The Service Dispatcher managing service requests, scheduling technicians, and ensuring efficient operations within the service department. Responsibilities include handling customer communication, processing work orders, and coordinating with team members to maintain smooth workflow.
The ideal candidate is an organized and proactive individual with 2-3 years of experience in service dispatch or a related field. They should have strong communication skills, proficiency in relevant software, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. A background in HVAC or dispatching is a plus, and the candidate should thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Handle service requests and communicate appointment details to customers.
- Create and manage work orders, scheduling technicians as needed.
- Oversee the Dispatch Board and track technician locations and tasks.
- Maintain customer communication, including follow-ups and handling complaints.
- Review and process technician quotes, purchase orders, and timecards.
- Assist with preventive maintenance scheduling and special projects.
- Ensure accurate and timely invoicing and expense report processing.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in service dispatch or a related field
- Familiarity with Viewpoint Service Management software, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and Adobe Acrobat
- HVAC and dispatching background is a plus. Also open to candidates from the plumbing or electrical industries.
- High School diploma or GED required
Worksite Type: Fully on-site in Sacramento, CA
Pay Rate: $25 -$30/hour, depending on experience
Hours: Full-time, regular office hours. (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday)
Duration: Contract-to-Hire
