Vaco has partnered with a PE backed manufacturing / fabrication organization in their search for an Enterprise Application Developer. In this role, you will work with business users and other IT team members to manage development including creating, testing, deploying and maintaining software solutions that extend and enhance applications including Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, Infor Syteline, Salesforce CRM and Mulesoft, Adobe Commerce and other systems.
Responsibilities:- Work with business users, business analysts and system analysts to analyze requirements and transform them into technical designs
- Write, test, debug and document software
- Work with third party developers to extend the capabilities of existing systems following coding best practices
- Translate functional design to technical specifications
- Research and analyze the nature, effect, and results of system problems; design and implement fixes
- Maintain and ensure proper documentation and coordinate or perform testing of system modifications
- Understand table structures and transaction flows in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central and other integrated systems
- Provide recommendations regarding the evolution of the systems
- Produce reports, timelines, and graphics to communicate expectations and progress to stakeholders
- Maintain Dev Ops environment and software repository
- Maintain current understanding of industry standards, trends, and best practices
Qualifications- Working knowledge of coding and programming of at least one programming language, with SQL & C/AL and AL in a Dynamics BC environment preferred
- Mulesoft data integration or other data integration tools
- Development best practices including naming conventions, coding standard and code security
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Extremely organized with great attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to change, learn quickly and creatively solve new problems
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Business Central data requirements and processes within manufacturing and distribution environments
- Azure DevOps and/or Github
- Basic Business process understanding, record to report, order to cash, procure to pay
- Working knowledge of Visual Studio
- Experience with one or more of the following:
- Microsoft Power BI
- Azure enterprise applications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, business, or other relevant field
- Three or more years coding experience, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution business
- Managing or working with partners or in programming teams in Agile or other development methodology
