ATCO - PLANT MANAGER - Manufacturing – Northwest Georgia (Bartow/Gordon Counties)
POSITION SUMMARY
ATCO Rubber Products Inc. is currently seeking a seasoned Plant Manager who will manage and direct the production, maintenance, and quality assurance functions of our light industrial manufacturing plant in the North West Georgia area. This manager will coordinate the manufacturing departments’ functions to ensure compliance with company objectives, quality systems, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to achieving operational excellence with a genuine interest in helping our company succeed. Candidates must be detail-oriented, able to lead a large, multi-shift team, serve as a liaison between upper management and the functions of the plant, and have several years of experience in supervising skilled and unskilled labor in manufacturing and warehouse applications.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Oversee day-to-day operations of the facility.
· Provide leadership and management to associates.
· Schedule daily and weekly demand to meet shipments and maintain inventory levels.
· Ensure production meets the required deadlines, and quality standards and is completed within the operational budget.
· Manage, measure, and improve the productivity of the facility (producing per schedule).
· Manage, measure, and improve labor efficiency of the facility (producing as much product as possible without overtime).
· Manage and ensure all safety procedures are followed.
· Ensure the facility is clean and neat.
· Ensure lead times perform to service levels expected by the company.
· Working closely with Operations Management to ensure the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
· Ensure material is received on time.
· Keep inventories in good condition and rotating stock (FIFO).
· Administer annual performance reviews with associates.
· Build a succession plan for each role where necessary.
· Create and maintain a high level of employee morale and relations.
· Coordinate with other Corporate departments as needed.
· Direct interviewing, staffing, and training on all hourly and salary levels for the plant
· Operate within all Local, State, and Federal Laws.
· Manage all plant employees and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within the plant.
· Coordinate security and fire-alarm plan for facility, schedule quarterly inspections, and handle service calls associated with the equipment.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
· Adequate knowledge of business and management principles
· Proven work experience as a Plant Manager
· Proven supervisory skills and demonstrated leadership capabilities
· Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
· Strong team building, decision-making, and people management skills
· Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and technical expertise
· Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, and inventory processes
· Computer literacy
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Minimum 8-10 years plant/general management experience in a manufacturing environment.
· Industrial/Manufacturing experience recommended and highly preferred
· A degree is not necessary but strongly preferred. Military experience may be substituted for education.
SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITY
This position manages 160 to 180 salary and hourly employees in a multi-shift operation.
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday and on-call as required to manage facility operations

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
$80,000 - $90,000 Annually, depending upon experience
