Details:
- Pay range: $60,000 to $65,000 base + 10% companywide bonus (paid out 2 times a year = 5% + 5%)
- Schedule: M-F, flexible hours (average employee works 8am-5pm, but you can work any schedule you'd like as long as you hit 40 hours per week)
- Location: In office in Plymouth, MN

Job Duties:
- Develop and maintain knowledge of the lighting, lighting/building controls and EV markets, relevant practices, and industry trends.
- Research and identify top products and new suppliers.
- Communicate between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with new and existing suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing contracts and extend existing contracts.
- Prepare price quotes and obtain recommendations from suppliers for substitute items.
- Utilize a pricing database to track financials and ensure competitive quotes.
- Manage item and pricing data in Oracle.
- Oversee supplier performance including quarterly vendor scorecards.
- Approve purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to master list resolving any issues prior to PO approval.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of buying/purchasing experience is required
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related is preferred
- CALT certification is a plus
- Lighting, Electrical, and LED project management or technical knowledge is a plus (industrial, retail, etc.)
- Experience with material procurement and negotiations
- Experience with development of vendor performance programs
- Experience with vendor management sourcing and negotiating (installs, industrial, commercial, retail, etc.)
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
